ntique !8th Century Portrait of a Young Girl, Dutch School. CHURCHILL is noted for bringing museum grade artworks to our clients. This magnificent portrait of a young girl is by no means the exception. Borrowing considerably from Northern Renaissance painters, the artist attended to every detail. Replete with fabric folds in her gown and ideal perspective in the distance, the canvas comes to life with consummate perfection. The noble girl's skin is like porcelain...rendered as if she could walk out of the portrait centuries later. She'd hang beautifully in a stairwell, above a mantel, or rock her out in a pop art setting.
Note: Condition for it's age is excellent with minor damage to the canvas. Frame has lost some gesso, though it showcases the painting masterfully. Contact CHURCHILL for additional details.
