Our Price: $12,000.00
Our Price: $4,500.00
Spanish Colonial Period Hardwood Madonna
This lovely set of four garden finials can be used indoors or out to provide romance for any well appointed home or fun pied de terre.  Their coloring varies gently from rusty peach to taupey grays.  While they are offered "as found," only one base is slightly chipped, and they are in beautiful condition.   They are a testament to the stone mason's expertise, particularly describing the fruit in deep relief.   If you're looking for time tested elegance, choose these finials for your home!

Approximate dimensions:  12"H X 11"W, 36" Circumference
Most popular amongst santos collectors is the blessed Madonna.  She wears a traditional pale blue cover with a cream colored gown.  Both hands have been lost, but she still retains excellent color.  Even the base is decorative.  This is a great piece for those interested  in starting a collection, adding to other favorite relics, or just because it's a choice find.

Our Price: $1,500.00
Our Price: $1,250.00
These Greco-Roman inspired caryatid candlesticks have surely graced many lovely homes.  The bronze figures are attached to natural, muted red marble bases.  They could house candles, of course, or even be fitted as electrical lamps with little difficulty.  If you are the lucky custodian, enjoy them with abandon!

Approximate Dimensions:  6.75"H X 3"W X 3"D
What home is complete without the perfect doorstop?  And, this fills the bill.  The lovely, cream-colored sheep hails perhaps from England where man-made stone has been an art for centuries.   Enjoy this piece for it's original intent, or perhaps group in a Welsh cupboard with blue and white stoneware.  Let your imagination be your guide.

The fine carpet fancier knows how difficult rare sizes and soft color palettes are to locate.  This one is the perfect rectangle--one to withstand the scrutiny of even the choosiest collectors.  It is all wool and in generally good condition with  gentle wear one would expect for something so old.  As with good handmades, this rug shifts in color tone as you move around the setting.  It starts with warm brick colors that soften into creams and blues.  The motifs are stylized flowers and leaf patterns, a combination of classic "tribal" geometry with allover floral character seen in "city" type rugs.   Kudos to the new custodian of this beautiful find!

Our Price: $4,500.00
Viennese Bronze Relic Amphora Circa Late 19th Century
Charming and  highly collectable, this beautiful cold painted bronze dog epitomizes good taste.  This lovely canine stands equally proud in a serious collection or  at home on the most well appointed of desks.  This piece is unmarked, as many older Austrian bronze figures were, yet it is likely produced by the Bergman facility in the latter 19th to early 20th century. This piece belongs to the family of cold-painted bronzes which typically date from the 1880s to 1920s.  There is nothing "typical" about this treasure, however.  It was made in Vienna perhaps in the early years of the Bergman Studio.  The subject matter is unusual and radiantly beautiful.
Continental Baroque Tortoise Box Austrian Bronze Birdnest
Our Price: $1,800.00
Our Price: $4,200.00
This little box is the perfect cache for anything from stamps, paper clips to that lovely little rosary from a European jaunt.  It measures approximately 3.75Long X 2.75Wide X 3"High.  The wooden base is clad in tortoise and overlaid in brass with a timeworn patina.  Partially lined in pink silk that has been lost over time,  this box bespeaks the oppulent time from which it came.  Quite a find! This is one of the most unusual Austrian cold painted bronzes we've ever carried.  It was part of the movement toward elegant bric-a-brac nearing the end of the 19th century.  It's a rather heavy cast bronze bird which unncannily sits on the rim of a bronze pot.  Unsure what it's use was, if any, we find it fascinating.  It would be a perfect addition to an existing collection or perhaps a starter for many to come.   Or, one could just fill it with "oh so very lucky" paperclips.
