Antique (13) Piece Set of English Porcelain Dessert Plates .  This set comes to CHURCHILL from an important estate collection.  English porcelain of this type, though not hallmarked, is probably from the latter part of the 19th century.  Comparable dessert sets were made during that period by KPM, a German studio and Worcester China in England.  The set contains (11) approximately 9" round plates and (2) 11 1/2" X 9" oval service plates.  Unique mint green ground is similar in style to Royal Worcester's "Armorial" collection.  Central decoration is hand-painted, and each varies by flower type.  Bright karat gold bordering was used to embellish the edges.  All pieces are completely intact, without chips.  Slight rub marks are inconsequential.   They look beautiful displayed together in a buffet, vitrine, or vasselier.
