Antique Oil Orchid Spray Painting signed by Edward Barnard Lintott, American 1875- 1951. An obvious fancier of Catleya orchids, painter Edward Lintott created this excellent botanical rendering in oil on canvas. It was later mounted on board, and it is currently framed with glass. Careful attention was given by the framer to space the pigment well away from the glass. The subject matter actually looks to be a coursage of orchids, nestled in perhaps Brake ferns and caught with a deep rose colored bow. The ground colors are terra cotta and olive green. Provenance is included with purchase.
