A figure sits at a table reading a newspaper while another appears to be doing needlework. The light source is a European style table lamp, expressed soley by its shape in solid, taupy white, reminiscent of master Georges de la Tour. Find was quite acclaimed, winning the bronze medal at the Paris Exhibition of 1900 and a host of other accolades across Europe. Year after year, Find won titles for his compositions and brilliant use of lighting. The piece is signed in the lower right, "Find." Exact date is not ledgible.
