It's height would make it ideal for a writing table as well. Shrinkage details let the savvy inspector know it definitely has age, perhaps late 19th century to early 20th. Construction is sound with hand made mortise and tenon joints and rabbited crossmembers. The photo depicts a slightly stronger lime color than up close and personal.
