Antique Salt Box in Walnut Wood. We purchased this salt box with a European grouping, but, upon re-inspection, this may be an American piece. The lines are much more like early 19th century American salt box styles. Provencial examples are more plentiful, and this one could be a real find, indeed. Pair it with stoneware, spattered graniteware, or let your imagination be your guide.
