Gorgeous, stately pair of dog statuary in carved man made stone circa 19th century, signed by the sculptor. The base measures approximately 25" in depth x 13" wide x 31" high. One male dog is alert with ears at attention, the other male dog is relaxed with a sweet expression on his face.

Charming and highly collectable, this beautiful cold painted bronze dog epitomizes good taste. This lovely canine stands equally proud in a serious collection or at home on the most well appointed of desks. This piece is unmarked, as many older Austrian bronze figures were, yet it is likely produced by the Bergman facility in the latter 19th to early 20th century.
