Rare, old Venetian, male cameo rests in ornate medallion surrounded by superb quality pearls and carved, intaglio disks. The delicate carvings depict perhaps former heads of state or Doges. Reverse side of medal is entirely engraved with Winged Lion of St Mark (symbolizing Venice) ornamenting the center. Matching chain has delicate rope treatment which mimics bezel design in pendant. Circa 19th Century
