Antique Mahogany Edwardian- Carlton Style Desk. As if summoned back from a more elegant time, this desk personifies classic taste and opulence. It was probably crafted in the 1940s, recalling the Edwardian period's highly ornamented, yet refined style, after the turn of the 20th century. Cherubs holding musical instruments grace the side compartments; garlands and flourishes decorate the other surfaces, all accomplished in marquetry technique. The primary wood is mahogany. It's legs have traditional spade style feet. Enjoy it throughout your home.

Antique Edwardian Mahogany Carlton House Desk. Measures approximatelyHxWxD: 30"x 49"x 28". Beautiful scrolled marquetry inlaid desk with leather desk top. Desk has two drawers, and two cabinets. Side detail is of urn. If not used as a desk, it would make a wonderful dressing table for either gender. Desk is in good overall condition but the leather is somewhat distressed.

Very Rare 18th Century Spanish Desk with Wrought Iron Trestling. For collectors who search for the best of a category, here it is.... This desk came to us through a dealer who acquires pieces from important European homes and parsonages. Every detail speaks of hand made workmanship and quality, from hand wrought iron supports to special, stylized floral motifs on the drawers. The primary wood is walnut. The assembly methods are motise and tenon, dovetails, etc. No details were overlooked when this fine desk was produced. The top is in good shape for it's years, albeit a few well done patches have been made. Also present are small scorched areas because candles were the only light source for the period. These details only serve to impart a sense of relevance to the time when it was used. In short--beautiful!

18th Century Spanish Pine Inlaid Wood Secretary. This lovely piece is reputed to have belonged to a high ranking official of the Catholic church, perhaps a cardinal or a bishop long ago. The chief wood is pine inlaid with a lighter unknown wood. While the interior is much newer, the secretary is rare and almost entirely intact. Motifs include crosses and orbs as well as sacred hearts. Expert rail, panel and stile construction is used throughout. For the real collector or a serious novice, this secretary is a hands down, thumbs up!
