A rare treasure from the Roaring Twenties, this delicate ring houses a large round cut natural diamond solitaire.  The stone measures almost 10mm wide.  The cut has no culet, but it definitely fits the period of 1920s to early 1930s.  The stone exhibits a soft yellow color, not in fancy range, but again, very original to the piece.  French cut bright green emeralds are tapered to a custom fit around the center stone (slight damage to one emerald).   Diamond set scrollwork ornaments the sides with hand milgraining.  Details like this suggest late 1920s because they are transitional between the natural motifs of Art Nouveau and the geometry of Art Deco.  Size 7 1/2.
