This lovely set of four garden finials can be used indoors or out to provide romance for any well appointed home or fun pied de terre. Their coloring varies gently from rusty peach to taupey grays. While they are offered "as found," only one base is slightly chipped, and they are in beautiful condition. They are a testament to the stone mason's expertise, particularly describing the fruit in deep relief. If you're looking for time tested elegance, choose these finials for your home!

A pair of fine period chairs like these is very difficult to find. Most are either in great state of repair in a museum or submersed so deeply in family collections that they rarely surface on the market. That being the case, we offer two lovely Louis XV armchairs with old tapestry upholstery. Many would change the slightly tattered fabric, but it is serviceable and quite nice. One hind leg has been repaired with a subtle strut for support. Otherwise, they are in overall good condition. Bring them into your home like cherished friends.

From the famous Crichton Brothers silver firm, this pair of sterling casters is the perfect compliment to a fine collection. They could be used or prominently displayed en masse with other treasured silver. They date to the early 20th century, and each is impeccably made in the tradition of fine old English silverware. They make perfect sugar shakers and also transport to the vanity to contain luxury talc!

Based on fabulous French antiques, these lovely chairs capture the glamour that time creates, the hand appied finishes, and even the ragged upholstery--at a fraction of the price! While they can be ordered with only burlap covering. ie ready for your own fabric, we offer these beauties in "vintage Brazilian truck tarping." Hard to believe, but this canvasing is specially re-worked for just the perfect touch! It is gently washed for softness, yet highly durable, then wistfully stamped with a crown motif. Buy them in singles for a vanity or desk, or purchase several to round a fine table. We even offer captain's chairs (please contact us for information on these).

It is true, good things DO come in pairs. In the spirit of Biedermeier with a twist of Italian dolce vita, these lovely tables can make just the right statement for your home. Whether used bedside, next to a sofa, or flanking some great piece of architecture, they are sure to please even the most discriminating taste. We have them pictured as found, needing a few minor repairs to the veneering. They can be restored if desired or used just as they are. Each table has a lazy susan inside for storage of pipes, writing utensils or a fine vintage port. Cheers!

En Francais, this chair is fit for the queen, and indeed it is. Fashioned well over a century ago, this perfect chair would fit nicely in a lady's study beside a desk or next to a vanity. It's great for that assistant to take minutes or dictation, too. What looks to be the original "french grey" paint peeks out from a later application of creamy ivory antiquing. There is peeling which some collectors love, but a savvy purist could carefully take the piece back to the original color--just a thought. It is upholstered in a powder blue antique velvet which lends a boudoir feel to the chair. As purchased or restored, it is a lovely addition to any fine home.

These Greco-Roman inspired caryatid candlesticks have surely graced many lovely homes. The bronze figures are attached to natural, muted red marble bases. They could house candles, of course, or even be fitted as electrical lamps with little difficulty. If you are the lucky custodian, enjoy them with abandon!

What home is complete without the perfect doorstop? And, this fills the bill. The lovely, cream-colored sheep hails perhaps from England where man-made stone has been an art for centuries. Enjoy this piece for it's original intent, or perhaps group in a Welsh cupboard with blue and white stoneware. Let your imagination be your guide.

This mirror is perfect to create a focal point, whether in the foyer, over the mantle, or simply above a dresser. One thing to note here is the effect of time on the glass itself. The reflection is fairly clear, but it exhibits subtle aging that only time creates. If your search is for an oppulent antique, or just a work of ultimate beauty, you've reached decorating nirvana!
Approximate Dimensions: 35" wide by 62" long

This bull did not come to CHURCHILL easily. He's stubborn and heavy! He is constructed of natural peachy pink Italian marble with charcoal gray veining. The result is one beautiful figure, ready for a grand home or office. This bull is in generally good condition with one exception, a portion of his left ear has been chipped off. We think he still cuts a forboding stance.

Try as you will, small side chests like this one are difficult to find. Upon close inspection, a seasoned antiquer might say this is a "marriage" of old and new. The doors, hand-fashioned iron hinges and closure appear to be original...with a carefully constructed cabinet added later. We think it could become a stow place for toys, dolls, a collection of tin containers--so many possibilities. Let the color palette from electric to powder gray blues be your guide.

For those whose hearts lie in the countryside of France, we bring this lovely armoire. It dates conservatively to the first quarter of the nineteenth century. The primary wood is solid walnut; the secondary wood is pine. It has been restored and lovingly refinished. It is an oil finish with gently handrubbed effects. The carving is impeccable, replete with scrolling intact, sunflower motifs and gracious fluting. It houses a full screen TV perfectly. Or use the generous heavy shelving to store pantry goods, table top items, etc. This luscious antique would MAKE any well appointed room!

This charming bench longs to be cherished in your home. Whether used on a protected porch accessorized with geraniums, or aside an elegant stairwell to add a rustic touch to a stuffy entrance, it is sure to please. This piece was constructed around the turn of the twentieth century using the recessed panel, rail and style technique. It's still quite sturdy and ready for hosting a nice cup of Joe!

The definitive antique credenza, this piece defines sublime taste. We usually give suggestions for placement on antiques, but this cabinet defies the imagination. The wood tone is warm without being red. It's a handrubbed finish that glows with years of tender care. Any room could accomodate it--and handsomely so!
Approximate Dimensions: 52"W X 24"D X 50"H

This stunning handcarved example of Jacobean design is in a beautiful state of repair. While many have succumbed to dry rot, wood worms, and water decay, this handsome chest has crossed an ocean, been passed down through generations, and still sits tall. It offers storage for extra pillows, throws, gameboards, toys, etc.

Perfect as an island in a small kitchen, or as a touch of rustic color in a large one, this special table has a myriad of uses. It's height would make it ideal for a writing table as well. Shrinkage details let the savvy inspector know it definitely has age, perhaps late 19th century to early 20th. Construction is sound with hand made mortise and tenon joints and rabbited crossmembers. The photo depicts a slightly stronger lime color than up close and personal. Tapered spade feet give it real American country status.
Approximate Dimensions: 32.5'H X 32.5"D X 38.5"L

As if transported from a vintage film, this pair of special arm chairs came to CHURCHILL. Romance aside, these chairs are a decorator's dream. Each is carefully constructed and covered in an embossed silvered metal. Their cushions are salvageable in an antique taupe or they could be easily recovered. They'd be perfect for that partner's desk or a quaint breakfast for two. All in all, we think they're divine!
