This pair of decoys have not been used, but they are made for use or display. Painted by Cedar Run, New Jersey artist, John Hamilton in the latter part of the 20th century, they are both hand made and bear a striking resemblance to the living species. Single decoys are more readily available, but a mated pair like this are more difficult to come by. They look handsome on a preppy mantle, in bookcases, or just perched practically anywhere. A bracket or shelf in the mudroom looks swell with decoys to survey the wading boots and rain hats!
