Rare example of Italian blackamoor jewelry. Exquisite workmanship and detail. Brooch is engraved throughout with handcarved ebony face, seed pearl turban and garment enwrapped with a diamond snake. The piece is entirely decorated with fine, full cut white diamonds, and two champagne rose cuts. Turban has a frosted rock crystal accent on top. Approximate overall diamond weight is 4.5 cts. Circa 1900
